Ingredients
1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix 2 cups cold milk 1 cup whipped topping 3–4 chocolate cookies (like Oreos), crushed Gummy worms or other candy decorations (e.g., bone candies, ghost candies)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin. 2. Divide the cookie dough into 12 equal portions. Press each portion into the bottom and up the sides of the muffin cups to form cups. 3. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. While warm, use the back of a spoon to gently reshape the cookie cups if needed. Let cool completely in the muffin tin on a wire rack. 4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes to thicken. 5. Once cookie cups are completely cooled, spoon or pipe the prepared chocolate pudding into each cookie cup. 6. Top each pudding-filled cookie cup with a dollop of whipped topping. 7. Sprinkle the crushed chocolate cookies over the whipped topping to resemble dirt. 8. Carefully place gummy worms and other candy decorations into the “dirt” to create a graveyard scene. 9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
Notes
These Graveyard Pudding Cookie Cups can be made ahead of time. For best results, decorate shortly before serving to keep the candies from getting too soft. Get creative with your graveyard decorations! You can use chocolate tombstone cookies, candy corn, or other Halloween-themed sprinkles to enhance the Graveyard Pudding Cookie Cups theme.
